DESCRIPTION:
Sextants- 2 (Two) Hughes & Son Boxed Sextants: H. Hughes & Son Ltd., London, 7 inch radius sextants, pierced metal frames, signed brass arcs with inset silvered scales with graduations from 0-150, knurled vernier adjustment, index magnifiers, multiple shades for horizon and index mirrors, sighting scopes, and wood handles, all in finger-jointed mahogany boxes with old paper labels, both dating to 1932.
CONDITION:
silvered arcs are tarnished and difficult to read. Brass frame has a very dark patina. Each set is missing one of its sighting scopes. One is missing its horizon glass. Inset plaques on both box tops are missing. Dimensions are for closed wooden box. Sold "as is ".
